One step at a time,
I am walking back into my life.
If I can't do anything else,
I will just put
one foot in front of the other
and keep on walking.

My fuel is anger,
My fuel is laughter,
My fuel is revenge,
My fuel is love,
My fuel is the food I eat,
and I will keep on walking.

My feet will take me
past miles of regret
and lost dreams
and past all the people who
never believed in me.

I will say to them,
"You're wrong about me,"
and I will keep on walking.
I will say to them,
"You'll miss me when I'm gone,"
and I will keep on walking.
My feet will take me
past places I shouldn't be,
and I will never stop
until I get all the way home.

I will turn my face away
from other people's dreams,
because I have my own dreams now,
and I will keep on walking.

Step by step,
I am walking back into my life.
And no one,
no one,
can stop me.
